Journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported that Harry Kane has expressed his preference for a move to Bayern Munich this summer, prompting the German club to strategize their pursuit of the Tottenham Hotspur star.
On Twitter, Plettenberg claims that the Bundesliga champions are now hopeful that they can secure the 29-year-old’s signature for under £86 million.
Rumors about Harry Kane’s future have subsided lately. Of course, he is entering the last year of his contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Kane Eager to Join Bayern Munich
For many, this is the last opportunity to get a significant transfer fee for a player. However, it seems Spurs are willing to risk losing Kane on a free transfer next year.
Nevertheless, Bayern Munich seem to be ready to test Tottenham’s determination to hold onto Kane.
According to Plettenberg’s social media post, Kane has informed Bayern about his wish to join them. Moreover, Thomas Tuchel’s side is confident they can make a deal happen.

It would be a big surprise if Kane chooses to leave for Bayern. Obviously, he is likely to win the league title within a year, and the club will compete for other championships.
However, Kane can pick and choose clubs in a year’s time. If he is content to stay at Tottenham for one more season, he could potentially go anywhere.
Perhaps moving to the Allianz Arena holds appeal for Kane – especially if Daniel Levy is adamant about not selling the ‘incredible’ striker to another Premier League team.
Despite Plettenberg’s recent update, it would nevertheless be a major upset if Kane finalizes a transfer to Bayern this summer.
