A fresh piece of news about Tottenham comes from Fabrizio Romano, regarding a potential recruit.

In recent times, whispers have grown that Tottenham is edging closer to acquiring Rosario Central’s Argentine forward Alejo Veliz.

“Here we go” was Romano’s announcement about Veliz’s prospective move to Spurs, made on his Twitter two nights ago.

The revered transfer-prognosticator followed it up with two back-to-back updates within an hour concerning the deal’s final developments.

In his first update, Romano indicated Veliz will undergo his medical at Tottenham early next week to potentially agree on a five-year contract.

The Italian journalist added that both parties are making the necessary arrangements to ensure an expedited transfer completion.

Subsequently, Romano disclosed that Veliz is scheduled to arrive in London today (Saturday) and his inaugural outing at Spurs is set for the upcoming Sunday.

After the exchange of documents between the two clubs, a deal estimated to be worth £18 million with a fixed fee of £11.8 million is in place.
