Tottenham Player with £65k Weekly Salary May Reject Proposal to Leave the Club

Davinson Sanchez, a defender for Tottenham Hotspur, is expected to turn down a proposal to join Spartak Moscow, keeping his options open for other opportunities.

As per The Guardian’s reports, Tottenham’s acceptance of an offer from the Russian club approximately valued at £10.2 million, along with additional payments, is confirmed.

Sanchez has been widely associated with a move from Tottenham this summer, as manager Ange Postecoglou looks to restructure his defensive line.

Nonetheless, The Athletic disclosed on Tuesday that the 27-year-old player has reservations concerning a possible relocation to Russia. Indications are that Sanchez could likely reject the Moscow move, holding out for a different opportunity.

Sanchez Anticipated to Pass on Spartak Moscow

A report by The Guardian suggests that the Premier League strongly advises its clubs against conducting transactions with Russian teams.

Tottenham’s decision to approve Spartak Moscow’s bid for Sanchez has led to some surprise.

However, it is expected that the center-back will refuse the move and consider other propositions.

It doesn’t come as a shock to see that Sanchez is likely to reject a transfer to Russia, given the current context.

The defender, earning £65,000 per week, seems set for a transfer this summer, and other clubs, including Galatasaray, have shown interest as well. 

Since signing for a record fee in 2017, Sanchez has found it difficult to unlock his complete potential at Spurs.

The former Ajax player needs a new platform for his career, and it seems improbable that he will find a place in Postecoglou’s plans for the coming season.
