Spurs Rumoured to Have Offered Nearly £86m for Impressive Striker, Says Representative

In the recent past, Tottenham Hotspur has shown interest in Vitor Roque.

Reports by Mundo Deportivo suggest that discussions have taken place between Spurs and the Brazilian star’s agents.

The report also declared that Tottenham was quite persistent in pursuing a transfer deal for Roque.

Spurs even considered making a trip to Brazil to facilitate the acquisition of the ex-Athletico-PR star, these reports suggest.

Moreover, teams including Manchester United and PSG, along with the Spurs, were ready to triple Roque’s salary, as per the report.

However, Spurs lost the chance to secure Roque as he was keen on joining Barcelona only.

After the player’s successful move, his agent disclosed how much Spurs reportedly prized him.

In an interaction with the Charla Podcast, Andre Cury, as cited by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, confirmed: “English clubs, such as Tottenham and Manchester United, sent considerable bids to secure Roque, much more attractive than that of Barca; it was close to €100m.

“However, Vitor was focused on Barca and there was no chance of him changing his mind.”
