Ange Postecoglou Re-lists Tottenham Star for Potential Summer Sale

Manager Ange Postecoglou of Tottenham Hotspur is reconsidering the possible loan or sale of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

The Mail Online cites a new report that includes Ndombele’s name among the players Postecoglou is considering for a potential move away from the club.

Other players on the list include Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, Sergio Reguilon, Joe Rodon, and Davinson Sanchez.

Taking into account the team’s pre-season performance, the potential exit of any of these players doesn’t come as a surprise.

The unexpected part is the fluctuating reports about how Postecoglou sees Ndombele’s future with Spurs.

Just yesterday, Journalist Ryan Taylor reported that Tottenham had plans to retain Ndombele for this season, rather than sell him.

It’s possible the club is yet to finalize a decision on the £200k-a-week midfielder who has just returned from an injury.

Postecoglou and Daniel Levy, the chairman, have to make several crucial decisions about Ndombele and others this summer.

Tottenham may attempt to sell Ndombele this summer

It’s conceivable that Daniel Levy doesn’t have much leisure time currently in North London.

Between managing Harry Kane’s future, scouting potential replacements, hunting for new acquisitions, and planning multiple departures, he certainly has his hands full.

Spurs currently have a team shaped by previous manager Antonio Conte.

So, if they are to adapt to Postecoglou’s divergent tactical approach, the club might have to let go of players like Ndombele.

Given the surplus of wing-backs in the Spurs roster, players like Perisic and Sessegnon might be up for grabs.

The team could use a new type of centre-back, as much has changed since Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.

If reports are true that Tottenham is open to selling these players, they could amass significant funds, particularly from Ndombele’s sale.

Having proven his worth while on loan at Serie A champions Napoli, the 26-year-old Ndombele still has his prime years ahead of him.
